Warranty for exclusive products

JB-Lighting, Compulite, and Avolites products are warranted against failure in normal usage, when installed or used in accordance with the applicable instructions, due to defects in workmanship or materials.

Damage due to physical abuse, exposure to excess temperature or moisture conditions, foreign debris introduced into the device by any means, or misapplication is not covered by this warranty. No product will be covered by this warranty if its serial number has been deleted or altered in any way. This warranty does not apply to the cost of installation, cost of removal, consequential or concurrent damages. Creative Stage Lighting, Inc.’s (CSL) sole obligation under this warranty shall be, at its option, the free repair or free replacement of any product or part which is found to be defective upon the return of said component. The customer is responsible for the costs of shipping to/from the repair center in North Creek, New York. At CSL’s option, parts may be shipped in order to have the customer repair the fixture onsite, if customer is deemed properly trained to conduct repair. In this case, components must be returned within 30 days of the occurrence of the defect to receive a credit for the defective component/part.

If non-warranty repair is required2, the customer will be notified and will be billed at a rate of $90 per hour upon customer approval to proceed.1

As a courtesy to our customers, Creative Stage Lighting, Inc. has a limited supply of loaner equipment available. CSL will make reasonable efforts to minimize your downtime on warranty claims, limited by circumstances not within CSL’s control. If CSL provides loaner equipment, the product in need of repair must be received by CSL’s North Creek, New York office no later than the one week after receipt of loaner equipment (if possible sooner). In the event, after evaluation, it is determined that the product failure was caused by misuse as stated in paragraph one then a rental cost for the price of the loaner will be assessed for the full rental period. Customer must return the loaner equipment for receipt by CSL no later than the one week after receipt of the repaired product. Any failure to meet these deadlines may result in a rental charge for use of the loaner equipment for each extra day the return of the loaner equipment is delayed. All freight/shipping charges for loaner equipment such be the responsibility of the customer.

The warranty is valid for a period of time specified below from the invoice date of the sale by Creative Stage Lighting, Inc.

Extended Warranty Option for Exclusive Products

JB-Lighting, Compulite and products warranty can be extended beyond the standard periods listed below.

Product warranties can be extended for additional 36 months beyond the standard period. e.g. JB-Lighting products can be extended to a total of 60 months by purchasing an additional 36 month extended warranty. Extended warranties can be purchased in increments of 12 month periods. All extended warranties must be purchased within 120 days of original equipment purchase. Contact your Creative Stage Lighting, Inc. sales rep for a current quote. The standard warranty is valid for a period of time specified above from the invoice date of the sale by Creative Stage Lighting, Inc. Extended warranties are in force immediately following the standard period.

In lieu of any warranty, condition or liability implied by law, the liability of the Company in respect of any defect in or failure of the goods supplied, or for any loss, injury or damage attributable thereto, is limited to making good by replacement or repair, at the option of the Company, defects in the goods of the Company’s manufacture which, under proper use, arise solely from faulty materials or workmanship within twelve months after the goods were first dispatched. Provided always, that unless otherwise agreed in writing, such defective parts are returned at the Buyer’s expense to the Company’s works. Any labor costs involved in refitting will be chargeable to the Buyer. In the case of goods not manufactured by the Company these benefits shall be limited to the extent of the guarantee given to the Company in respect thereof by the manufacturer.
