What is Creative Stage Lighting?

CSL provides lighting products, accessories and services to the entertainment industry. CSL is a manufacturer, wholesale distributor, and production lighting provider for television, theater, studio and special events.

Why does CSL need a new building?

CSL is outgrowing our current home, located about two miles from where we want to build. We need more space to expand and upgrade our manufacturing and production lighting divisions—an expansion that will generate additional clean, well-paying jobs for local people.

How many people does CSL currently employ and how many will be added?

CSL currently employs 42 people. Once our new home is built, we plan on adding 25 full-time employees over the next five years.

What will the new building look like? How big will it be?

CSL's new home will be designed with the same care and harmonious appearance as our current one. It will be a 73,000 square-foot facility; 9,000 square feet will be for administrative offices, two areas of 32,000 square feet will house manufacturing and production lighting.

What hours of the day will the building operate?

Regular work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Ocassionally, Rentals will stay to 7:00pm to fulfill an order or await a pick up.

Will the building increase traffic in the area?

No.The vehicles that will make deliveries or pickups are *already traveling on Rte 28N*. The same applies to the vehicles driven by employees. Car traffic is expected to increase by the same number of new employees hired, up to 25 over the next five years (arriving in the morning and leaving at the end of the work day). Access to the new building will be available only from Rte 28N.

Will the new building have adverse environmental impacts?

No. Our manufacturing does not impact water or air quality. We are a clean industry that recycles almost everything it uses. As part of the approval process, we must show that we comply with building, zoning, planning, and environmental standards, local, state, and federal. CSL will continue to be a green manufacturing and service provider.
