When we signed up for the USITT New Product Showcase I did not know what we were getting into.

*Above: Bringing a Compulite Vector Ultra Violet to the USITT New Product Showcase*

This is our second year exhibiting at USITT, but my (Dan’s) first time attending a New Product Showcase.

The New Product Showcase is half new product demonstration and half SWAG give away. So we came prepared.

*Preparing to give away SWAG*

I expected an audience, but not **THIS MANY PEOPLE**:

But it was all good fun. We practiced our frisbee technique backstage and the crowd went nuts for them.

There’s one more day left to come by booth 915 and check out JB Lighting’s JBLED moving heads, Compulite Vector and Dlite Consoles, and Wireless Solution’s W-DMX.

Thanks to all of you who came by and visited us at booth 915 today. If you didn’t, here’s what you missed.

The back wall of our booth is literally lined with Compulite consoles. The Ultra Violet is the newest addition to the Compulite family. It’s a portable edition of Compulite’s Vector series, great for the lighting designer on the go.

If you haven’t seen the JBLED A7 or A4 in action, swing by our booth. What’s great about these LED moving heads is that they can zoom in and out for a nice focused beam or wash. Our JB Lighting display here is also completely driven by Wireless Solution’s W-DMX.

We’ve had a few people ask if they can have a frisbee. Yes you can!

USITT 2010 opens on Wednesday. We’re setting up the CSL Booth tomorrow.

Today was our travel day, so we didn’t get much set up today, although I can give you a sneak peak of the show floor.

Our booth, booth 915, is pretty much that red oval. It will look a lot different this time tomorrow.

In other news…

###Party party party

The guys at [Jimonlight.com](http://www.jimonlight.com) and [iSquint.net](http://www.isquint.net) are hosting parties each night of the conference, so there’s no reason you can’t go out and have a good time.

>Instead of disappointing the masses by having one party night, we’ve decided that we’re going to have a party EVERY NIGHT of USITT, at a different establishment in close proximity to the conference hotel and convention center so that everyone can walk to and fro! There are some events scheduled between the expo floor’s closing and 10pm most nights, I think, so we’re going to start partying around 9pm each night and go until we’re partied out!

They haven’t announced specific details yet. I think the best way to be in the loop is to follow either of them on Twitter.

###On Twitter

Feel like you’re in Kansas City by keeping tabs on USITT on Twitter.

If you’re into hashtags it looks like the general consensus is to use #usitt rather than #usitt2010 or #usitt50.

More tomorrow!
